I've been spinning at private parties and laptop DJ-ing with the wonderful Seattle lounge band Lushy. I'm also playing bass in Asian girl band Buttersprites. Check out their websites for dates.
This Thursday night at 10 p.m., DJs Les Saucettes will host 1960s French Pop night La Boum at the Capitol Hill Arts Center, and this time we've rounded up special guest DJ Lu of Japanese Girl Pop band The Buttersprites to spin a set or two (or three) of Cocktail Lounge-style exotica. I saw Lu a few months ago at a Luau party, and lord, did she have an amazing collection of tiki, crooners, and swank.
We'll also most likely be featuring French films in the background to get you in the mood. Hope you can join us!
